After Donald Trump spoke on Ali's passing, Piers Morgan defended the Republican candidate, which caused Chris Brown to issue a scathing retort
Since Muhammad Ali’s passing Friday, (June 3) many have taken to social media to express their condolences about the three-time heavyweight champion who Hana Ali, his daughter, described as a “humble mountain.”
Yet, when Donald Trump–the presumptive Republican presidential nominee who suggested a ban on Muslim’s entering the country–spoke on the 74 year old, many on Twitter collectively raised its electronic eyebrow in disbelief. However, former CNN anchorPiers Morgan came to Trump’s aid by claiming the champ said more “inflammatory/racist” things than Trump has.
Muhammad Ali said far more inflammatory/racist things about white people than Donald Trump ever has about Muslims. #fact— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) June 5, 2016
Morgan’s comments didn’t sit well with many people on the Internet, including John Legend and Marc Lamont Hill.
.@piersmorgan you could test us by announcing your retirement.

However, Brown’s comment proved to be the most scathing.
Brown, who has never been afraid to speak his mind, claimed Piers Morgan’s comment was “irrelevant journalism.”
