Tuesday’s Euro 2016 Group F opener was a huge occasion for the Iceland national team. For the first time in its nation’s history, Iceland had qualified for the European Championship. Its first match was against Europe’s best player, Cristiano Ronaldo.

After Nani scored the first goal for Portugal, Iceland drew level with a fantastic goal from Birkir Bjarnason. Again, it was the first-ever Euro goal for Iceland, and the team was happy. But it wasn’t over the top. Iceland tied with Portugal, 1-1.
